Frankly the golf cart thing is not important to me. I only use my golf cart for golf and often walk the executive courses and when I do I drive my car over to the course. but the "free mentality thing"does concern me because of the issue of abuse. where does it stop. This isn't a little matter this is a basis for gradual but continuing abuse that can and will affect quality of life here...if I can drive the cart paths why can't I use the executive courses, the swimming pools, the ..........................it is the way some people think
If I can wear casual clothes to work why can't I wear sandals and cut off jeans what's the diff mentality

But not everyone thinks like that........truthfully. A lot of the homes in Stonecrest have their own pools.
So, why would anyone want to drive a golf cart all the way to TV to swim in their pools?
The home we rented in TV had a pool under a birdcage off the lanai. It was so nice.......our son and daughter in law and baby loved it.........no need to even use the Villages community family pool, although we did have the passes.
If say, we were to buy outside of The Villages, and wanted to bring our guests for dinner at the Lighthouse Restaurant or Waterfront Inn, we would drive our car.......not use a golf cart.
When we visited TV for over one month, we used our car all the time.........as it was airconditioned. If we went shopping, we definitely needed the car.....
The only time my husband used the golf cart was for a very short spin to Subway or to take our daughter in law on a short cruise around. Then she and our son did the same.......very short distance from the home we rented.
No one used the golf carts to go very far at all.......certainly not over those highways to Stonecrest or Walmart or Aldis....etc...or even the town squares in TV. Too far and too hot. The auto traffic was
busy enough.
I really wouldn't worry.......myself personally, about being swamped with golf carts if we buy in THE VILLAGES...........
