You dont have to go "digging for dirt" and acknowledging and letting things go does go a long way. Our take on most things that manifest physically is that they start out as an emotional "trauma" that is not recognized as such and it affects the brain//body connection. Your body is always "talking" to you and telling you its story., through the symptomology.
Louise Hay, a metaphysicist, is the best interpreter that I have found to understand the connections. Her book "Heal Your Body"and You Can Heal Your Life are easy to read and follow. German New Medicine is one "medical" practice that really addressed this. Acupuncture (TCM) and Homeopathy are also familiar with this connection and treat from that aspect as well. If you are not familiar with German New Medicine, here is a llnk that you might find interesting. The German New Medicine
Just dealling with the physical aspects is not dealing with "cause" although in acute situations, it is absolutely necessary to look after that first.
Another avenue is Ho'Oponopono which is a Hawaiian clearing technique that is very effective for emotional clearing, especially in challenging relationship issues, but that's aother story! Also EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is very useful. Both of these can be gogled and self taught if you are interested.
And yes, diet is another component, but many eating issues have a very deep emotional component that anchors them in. Clearing the emotional pieces can help one stay more balanced in their choice making and that affects all areas of life.
And remember, I know this information will not sit well with everyone, and that is OK. Everyone needs to choose their own path, and I am just sharing my personal perspective from my own life experiene, both personally and professionally. Please don't shoot the messenger!
Look after yourself and keep informed as best you can, because you are the one living your life.

On the contrary........it makes perfect sense to me.
Deep seated emotions, especially those rooted in the past, can indeed wreak havoc with one's physical wellness.
It's hard not to believe it when one sees people making the rounds of specialists, physical therapists, surgeons, being on so many heavy duty pain meds that they have to be weaned off..........and still finding no relief.......I don't deny their pain is REAL......but very hard to heal.
This man is 63 and has been "doctoring" for twenty years with no relief.
All they can offer now is a double knee replacement, but that will not help his chronic back pain. Back pain can be very debilitating, both emotionally and physically when it is unrelenting pain........such as his has been.
I do believe his business worries might contribute to the stress and that in and of itself aggravate the pain cycle.......but anyone who has had back pain or watched a loved one suffer through it, knows that it is REAL PAIN.
Always find your insights very interesting.........I should put her book on my Kindle. I read it a long long time ago.
