have comcast at each house [nj/fl] - no probs with customer service when we call - find them most helpful as a matter of fact! fact - when i called with an internet question [not problem] last 'season', the customer service rep advised me that there had been a modem upgrade since we had gone seasonal and i could go to the comcast location [and wait my turn] and pick up the new modem - no cost.

small cost to keep equip in house when we're not there vs returning it to a comcast location. we set our return date and arrive 1/2 days after same and service had been restored and we were a go!
one caveat - not necessarily a good plan if one is a snowflake who comes/goes to tv several times a year and wants service when there - once restored from seasonal plan there is no going back to it until one year from last enrollment!
