How many hours a year do you put on your cart and how often have you had to replace your batteries?

The reason I am asking is we have a 2012 cart purchased brand new in April of 2012. We have 597 hours on it and I am told by the dealer it sounds like we need new batteries. The other thing I was told is most people average around 150 hours a year. He said at the rate we are going we would be replacing batteries every year to year and a half.

Please, lets not make this an electric vs gas cart thread. I would like honest answers, not why we should have bought gas instead. Thanks!
