As I have inquired with Shine in the last month I had also visited an Access Person at the Leesburg Library that can be seen on every other Tuesday and Shine on Tuesday's which dates can be found out by calling Leesburg library or a Shine rep in your area.
I was told 11/19/13 That the New Medicare Advantage, United Health Care The Villages Medicarecomplete H1045-025 (HMO) comparable to United Health Care AARP(PPO) is a what u would call a PPO wannabe; meaning it is an HMO, but has the perks of a PPO with no referrals needed and Doctors in a network of Lake,Marion,Sumter Counties, not just the villages. Provider list from this ins. booklet and says updated info at there website that won't let post here, and as well Out of Network option, just like the PPO works, but is an HMO. This HMO although new, but because it is a part of or an extension like United Health Care AARP Medicare Advantage has a 4 star rating. This is the information i received. Because I was looking to change from United Health Care PPO for changing its preventive services, dropping dental and increasing prices about 10% to Humana PPO or BlueMed PPO, but then found out about this Villages United Healthcare HMO(like a PPO)keeping much of the like United Health care choice Plan 2 PPO services . Info taken right from the info booklet 0$ primary physician, 30$ specialist, preventitive 0$ copays for a start. Dental and vision, Passport services for out of Florida areas. Hope this helps.
