I think you are correct that the Developer takes an unusual amount of flack on this site. If you lurk like I have for the past year or so you see the same names fanning the flames. I divide them into three groups:
1. Political: Mr. Morse is big in one of the political parties and those of the other persuasion like to make everything including the weather his fault. (Of course they won't say it is political.)

As no doubt you can tell from my comments that I more than find it discouraging and frankly if I had spent time on this site as I was considering making such a major move I might well have decided otherwise .
It seems that anyone who might feel contrary to the majority attitude of the Posters on this site that they quickly get trashed such that they decide to not participate . This I submit is the usual tyranny of the minority which has become so pervasive in our society .
