Oh, good grief! Comparing these thugs to the Travon Martin incident is ridiculous! Saying that we're not allowed to mention that these thugs are black and the victims are white is unspeakable?

There's a HUGE difference between a young man walking home and feeling intimidated and being shot and someone coming up and bashing an innocent victim over the head and getting shot (if this ever can/does occur). I sincerely doubt there would be much of an outcry if that happened. What makes it dangerous is that it would be just as easy to shoot an innocent young, black male who came towards you because you thought he MIGHT be ready to knock you out -- then it becomes another Travon Martin incident. That I can see happening.

And I have yet to see a report that doesn't specifically say it is done by young, black males and the victims are always of another race. So, how are we being snookered?

These are ugly, random acts of violence. I'm not sure there is a way to stop them. Most of the punks who do this have no fear of jail; they rarely expect to live past the age of 25, so not much to scare them into stopping. BTW -- the more attention that is given to these acts, the more likely they are to escalate and, sooner or later, white teens will follow suit. Ugly, but true.
