OK. Here it is:

ORIGINAL VERSION - DESIDERATA.wmv - YouTube
This is my favorite of all time and was the favorite of my father. I have the original recording. This was one of the recordings played at his funeral in 1980. Daddy once said that if everyone could live like this, the world would be a whole lot better place. Thank you for bringing this up and sharing with those who are not familiar with it.

I often wonder why the ones of us who live in this wonderful country are so blessed. We have no concept of how some others are forced to go through life. None. At least I know I don't. I sometimes have to ask, "Why me, Lord, and mine?" What did we do to deserve this? I think he always treats us much better than we treat him too many times.

This is going to be a special time for us with family and friends. May we all remember to be thankful for all we have each and every day, not just once a year.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL! and may we remember those throughout the world, our country, our circle of friends who may not be so fortunate this year. A special thank you to those who go the extra mile for others and for sharing with those less fortunate.
