The next monthly meeting of The Villages Motor Racing Fan club is Dec. 4 at Colony Cottage Recreation Center, going green at 7 p.m.
This will be an interesting meeting! Joining us will be the new owner of Citrus County Speedway, Gary LaPlant. We're looking forward to meeting him and gaining insight into CCS' operation and their plans for our "home track."
We will also have a chance to meet a colorful driver who competes regularly at CCS in Street Stocks, Dora Thorne. We look forward to hearing how Dora got started in racing, and listening to some of her stories about racing at CCS.
