Default World War II artifact - seeking identity

Going through a late family's belonging I discovered a metal disc identified as a "voice record" from a deceased family member who was serving in World War II.

Seeking help in identifying what this disc is and how it can be listened to?

To assist in seeking responses the voice record disc has the following in-scripted on it:

Voice Recording Automat Inc.
U&I Inc.
350 Fifth Ave. N.Y.
Through courtesy of Pepsi Cola

Please only serious responses. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
