All of the LSV's are sold out, too bad. The Villages staff are very nice on the phone. The areas that allow under 18 yo to live are not technically in The Villages and can not use the facilities. Not a big deal but good to know. We will look for a weekly rental, time share etc, or just stay in a hotel/motel and come back for the LSV at another time. At least we will get a good feel of the place and meet some people.

LLW, I would say, consider what John W suggested for your January stay. There is the Waterfront Hotel very close to Lake Sumter landing where you could stay in luxurious conditions and rent a golf cart to take in all the beauty of the Villages. Then the next time you visit, you can set up an LSV trip when there is availability. Also, you can meet up with a lot of villagers in the lobby of the hotel where they have entertainment every night and people will offer you lots of information and will be warm and friendly. Hope this helps.
