Sadly, I'm one of those who lives month-to-month. Not the ideal situation but it is doable with some thought and planning. That means I can't adopt a family (did back in California but not here). There are, however, things I can do for others. I can clean a cancer patient's or an elderly person's home. I can help decorate a neighbor's home for Christmas now that they can't. I can take someone who can no longer drive out to see the Christmas lights in my golf cart. I can go shopping for someone who is housebound. So, if you haven't the funds to help someone, find another thing you can do for someone. The nice part is that this can be repeated monthly and is so very appreciated by those you're helping.
