We always heard it called the "pool cage", since it enclosed our pools, or lanai cage if you didn't have a pool. Up here it is a birdcage, I assume when it is added over the slab. We had a cage for so long, we opted for the railing on the slab look. Ends the debate quite nicely for us...hahaha!
