Sue, I can only relate our experience. We knew what model we wanted, a furnished Amarillo with a Florida room. We wrote a offer by fax based on 6 pictures on The Villages website. We closed in May and did not see the property until July 4th. There are many extras we love, solar tubes, sliders in the lanai, beautiful landscaping, pull out screens for the front and garage doors. We have added a hand mixer and crock pot and new silverware (I wanted something different), changed the bedding and curtains in the master (Hubby did not like dark pink flowers), added a few new pictures and a couple sets of towels. Disappointments: Beige carpet had large area rugs in living room and Florida room that covered lots of stains. Best thing is we love the area (Summerhill) and our street. We hosted a 2 hour afternoon party when we went in July and everyone but the single gentleman of the street came. The most welcoming kind people. We can't wait to move down in a few years.
