The math I did reading all the posts about all the burglaries, resulted in four burglaries if you count the first one months ago in Sanibel. Some readers may be confused by posters giving different particulars and think posters are talking about more than four burglaries, but I only got four out of this. And now the Sun has confirmed the latest three. (Can't remember if they confirmed the first one in Sanibel, but there was proof it happened.)

I don't believe anyone on this forum lied about any burglaries. So I don't see this as a tempest in a teapot. I see it as posters warning others to be vigilant.
