As always, he spent a great deal of time with us, caring, questioning, testing and of course, joking and making us laugh and be at ease. He shook hands with us and we exchanged New Years' wishes, and one short day later, Dr. Boris was gone from this world.

He saved my life twice last year by assessing my general health and at once getting me to a cardiologist (triple by-pass) and to a dermatologist (melanoma.) I came to trust him completely, and looked forward to visits at his office. I knew he'd take care of me.

Once, while recuperating from post operative complications at Leesburg, on one of his many regular rounds there, he announced to us that "This is a social visit! " He then explained with the usual twinkle in his eye that when a doctor says that it means he is current with his mortgage.

The people of this area have lost a very good and blessed physician and friend.

May God rest his soul and may God's grace come to strengthen his wife and young daughter.

What a great tribute to this fine man. I am very sorry to hear this bad news.
