If you know the brand name of your laminate flooring, look for an online site that will guide you as to what that particular manufacturer recommends.
The channel construction (where the planks are joined together) varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. (Often they are patented to a brand)
Some brands have a more impervious lock than others.
If you can not determine the brand, I would stay on the safe side- using a well wrung out microfiber floor pad that is barely damp.
