As you may know, I have mused myself quite a lot because of the 2-24 murder of Michelle Mitchell near the University of Nevada, Reno campus on my birthday in 1976. I have always wondered why God made that happen on my birthday or if he/she even did? That was a major factor in my Minoring in Religious Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. Then I had a friend Randy Johnson (not his real name) from the Philosophy Department who was knifed six times near the heart area by a jealous husband. He was probably hitting on a married woman in front of her husband or something like that. Even after the knifing and his coming back from being dead he still was sleeping with married women. He liked to show off his knife scars around his heart at the UNR cafeteria. Randy Johnson often put himself in very dangerous and often stupid situations. I believe he had been knifed near a bar which was close to legal brothel near Reno, Nevada. Or, at least, that's the story I heard. I do remember that the jury gave Randy Johnson's attempted murderer a rather lenient sentence probably because all Randy needed to do is walk a short way to satisfy his carnal needs. Sincerely doubt if he was in love with this married woman he was hitting on.
Just saying that fate or God or whatever acts in very strange ways. Randy was still hitting on married women after almost dying because of this habit of his. He often also had a lot of women drawn to him. I do feel for the patients though of this good doctor as well as for his family. Thought maybe if the good doctor is looking down on us he might get a kick out of this story about my friend from Reno who never knew how to control his impulses.
