Default Will TV Become a true gated community?

I just read Swimdawg's excellent thread on a crime deterrent mechanism that sounds very good. Many of the posters put in thoughtful suggestions and caveats for all of us.

Now all this recent break in activity got me thinking again about how porous our Villages are. I'm here only a year, and would guess the idea of a 'gated community' with personnel and contact methods has been discussed before.

Cost is certainly a factor. Tactically, until the end of the build out, certain dedicated trades entrances might be established for the construction crews, leaving our regular contractors and service people to go through an announced gate system.

I know this is the Morse's domain, and several of our major arteries are county roads and I know nothing at all about the interaction with them. I do know Del Webb on the other side of CR 42 north of us has one, as does Stonecrest.

And of course, the big problem would be the merchants' desire to attract outside customers to the squares in the evenings. Maybe that too could be reasonably addressed to meet the needs of all interests.

TV is getting bigger and bigger and there's a lot of conspicuous wealth being displayed. I am not suggesting hiding our personal property,or otherwise not enjoying it. I am throwing out this topic for discussion as an additional means of tightening the safety of us all.

I ask for thoughts, comments and criticism.

Thanks.
