I am a Canadian snowbird and a retired insurance broker. If you go back over the posts about this topic, there are a lot of opinions on coverage for rented golf cars. The auto policy states that anyone can drive your vehicle with your permission as long as it is not a rented vehicle. So, if that is the case, and if your house rental comes with a golf car, you might have coverage if they do not charge you for the car on top of the house rental. However, if something happens and when it is investigated, if the company can find any way that there is some charge for the car, buried in the contract, such as higher rent than houses of the same kind without a car included, they will walk away from the claim. This is a very tricky subject and until we bought a house and golf car and insured them both, I always assumed that when we were renting we were driving around without and insurance. I think you should also assume that because the chance that you are driving an insured golf car is slim, in my opinion.
