Default spas, 110 versus 220

I am looking to buy an above ground spa, the salesman at a local company told me it would cost $1000.00 to run 220 electric to my lanai, has anyone had this done and is that an accurate figure? Also the company only displayed the average cost of running a 110 fitted spa according to Duke Energy. Anyone on Seco with info on running a spa on 110 outlet
