Meeting people today for young is harder than it was for us I think. We did things with people from church or work. But if you don't like the people you work with or they don't have similar interests it is very hard. One of my nieces took a class at the local community college even though she had a degrees already, the other did charity work, so they would have something outside work to focus on and not be hanging around lamenting a wasted 4 years in college (their words not mine). They met new people that led to a new circle of friends and contacts and eventually even better jobs.
