I am in the best shape ever after having moved here six years ago. I've dropped both weight and dress sizes and am in size 4 now. When I first moved here I gained about 20 pounds and felt miserable. Back home I was a HS X Country Coach for nine years and have to say I'm still in better shape now than then even though I ran with the team everyday.

I run upwards to 20 miles a week competing in road races. I came in second female overall in the last Village race and usually win my age. I lift free weights every other day and do ab work outs a few times a week. I also line dance as much as I can. I can't keep weight on right now. I can pretty much eat what I want but try to eat healthy. I've never been on a diet.

If I was going to attribute anything to my success I would say it would be mixing cardio with strength training. I've never really done that before. Back home it was pushing the cardio and no strength training to speak of. The strength training has made a world of difference and has been a very welcome addition to my running workouts.
