According to todys POA magazine, the purchase and decision for the use of the building has been handled about as poorly as possible. The first goof up was when only one member inspected the building before the AAC decided to purchase it. This one member opposed the purchase. The second goof up was when the other AAC board members ignored a inspectors report that the condition of the building was reason enough to not make the purchase. Third goof up was when the board less two members decided to proceed with the possibility of allowing private investors to rent or purchase the building and reopen a restaurant. THE FOURTH AND FINAL BLOW WAS WHEN THE BOARD WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE SALES CONTRACT THEY ENTERED INTO HAD A PROVISION THAT THE BUILDING CAN ONLY BE USED FOR RECREATION RELATED USES.
I urge you to read the article in it's entirety in todays POA publication.
