The Super bowl has grown into a party type event, where people get together and throw parties for their friends and family. Somehow, the game itself, loses some of it's effect, for us football purists by longer haltimes etc.
This game was more typical of many Super Bowls, as a lot of them turned out, to be blow-outs. When the games are close and going down to the wire, it is very exciting to watch with people we care about, and celebrate all that is right and good in America.
Nothing warms my heart more when Americans coming together for a good cause because it's the right thing to do!!!
As my uncle Joe used to say, "I only want to do what's right"?

2B, you make a good point about the games themselves. Frequently the playoffs leading up to the Super Bowl are much closer, more exciting games. Being from the NY general area... are you a Giants fan? Their two Super Bowls were great games.
I'm not glued to the tube at halftime, but I understand the pomp. However, I would prefer a fifth "quarter" of football!!!!!
