I would never trust an invisible fence to contain cats. As I'm sure you know, cats can be independent, tricky and creative. And as mentioned, predators could easily snatch your unprotected cats.

Many people have successfully turned outdoor cats into cats that are happy sunning themselves in the lanai. Sadly, there are many feral cats in TV. Please keep your cats indoors ... I think they'll adjust easier than you think.
