Duffy... I can certainly understand your frustration with comcast. My latest bill took a big jump when a year old promotion ran out. So, I called them and politely asked about current promotions and bundles. I was able to redo triple play for about $5 more than my recent bills, before the big hike. This bundle is everything I had before but now includes their phone modem and boosted Internet speed. I did not use their phone before but will try it now. If it works, my $35/ month landline plus long distance goes away so my net is way below current costs.
I will pay about $185 for triple play... 1 HD/dvr box, 1 HD box, 2 DTAs, plus tier on Internet, sports pack, hbo/Showtime/starz/Cinemax, their phone modem. Price good for a year.
Bottom line, if you are ok with their service, it might be worth calling to renegotiate the rates. I was this close to dumping them for Century links bundled service...but will give them another chance with this bundle
Of course, the simple act of phoning to change bundles and rates led to two followup tech calls to fix things they screwed up...DVR was disabled and the next day my Internet was disconnected. Never fails when you change something on the account...
