We've had Directv since 2008 and I have found their customer service reps are very flexible. 2011 and 2012 we had NFL Sunday Ticket, which meant I could watch any NFL game I wanted, Sunday at 1pm I had 9 games to choose from. Anyway, they started billing me last August 6 payments of $33 extra each month, they automatically do that if you had subscribed the previous season. I called and said I can't afford the NFL Ticket this year, the rep said wait a minute. She gave me $30 credit for the next six months, I got the package bascially for free. I've asked in the past for various discounts and they always came through.
