I'm pleased your happy with the system, the reason the the chlorine taste and water spots are gone is I use a commercial not residential build.
The carbon in most systems are just that carbon poured into a container.
I use coconut carbon it is compressed in a BLOCK so it's not loose packed no water can find its way around the media like regular carbon, this is called bypass or channeling.
