Sure you will definitely get more house for the $$, outside of the Villages, but that is as far as it goes. In the case of Del Webb, Summerfield it was promised that shops, various business were going to be present....10 ++ years later Nothing at all, and sadly the property values went rapidly down a short while after build out was completed, plus They " OWN " the roads every inch. Not sure of The Villages?? Compare what is around look at the big picture it is the Lifestyle right here, is it Perfect ? of course not but really a pretty, pretty cool place to be.

I think you hit the nail on the head regarding shopping being near. Not to mention what seniors love to do the most----EAT! The Developer of TV made shopping and restaurants an intrical part of The Villages and accessible by golf cart.
As far as age variation, TV still has younger Retirees moving in. Following build-out that will change. I think that is one of the subconscious reasons many want to see TV continue to grow.
Anyway, there is not place quite like this place---and we looked at a lot of them!
