The problem is that the nearest Costco is one hour and seven minutes.
Ny wife is currently sending an e-mail to Costco asking them to consider locating a new store in the area of the Villages. The fact that the Villages now has apopulation of 110,000 should be quite an incentive. The Villages is larger than Ocala, Leesburg and Altamonte Springs. I'm surprised that large stores would locate in areas like this when we have a much larger potential base right here.
So, I'm thinking that if all of us that like Costco and would like to see one located here, would e-mail or write them, them might think about it.Who knows? Crazier things have worked.

Just sent an email myself. If this is something that many of you want, do as Boogie says and email Costco directly. They make it very easy - go to the Costco website, click on customer service at the top. Then, on the left hand side at the bottom it says email us - click on that and follow instructions from there. As is the Costco way, it is very well thought out and easy to follow. At the end, before submitting, they even allow you the option to select recommendation for new location as your topic. No, I do not work for Costco, nor do I even live in The Villages yet, but I will hopefully be down there within the next year and I will really miss my local Costco. It is currently only 5 minutes from my house and I was resistant when my husband wanted to join. There is only 2 of us now and I thought we would rarely use it. Well, surprise, I am there more than the grocery store. You can buy plenty of items that are not bulk and most items that are bulk are things I buy that way in the grocery store anyway. Also, I have not been disappointed yet by any of their store brand products and I am a brand shopper for the most part. Their precooked chickens make supermarket chickens look anemic! Too many good things to mention here, but just wanted to say, expressing your desire on this forum to want one in TV will probably not help to get one, but emailing the company may.
