That is, how many instances of firearm shootings and deaths for the various reasons cited in the first article (for example, accidental shootings, domestic violence, suicides, mass murders, and so forth) versus how many instances where a firearm successfully thwarted a burglar or robber. I'm not talking about law enforcement but rather ordinary citizens. I tried researching and was unsuccessful. Maybe someone who's more Internet-savvy could find this info, as it would be pretty revealing.
