Walking and Golf Carts
I just read an intersting article in the Letters to the Editor section of the Daily Sun. A walker is concerned about golf cart etiquette. As a walker myself I stay close to the side and often move to the grass to give those in golf carts room. I would say 98% of those in golf carts are very courteous to walkers and there has only been a small percent that have actually scared me. My question is in the article this person mentions when walking in a tunnel you should walk in the raised area in the center of the tunnel. Is this accurate? When I walk I very rarely use the tunnels since I think crossing the streets may be safer. The few times I did walk through a tunnel I ran to get to the other side to avoid oncoming golf carts. If I ever become comfortable walking the tunnels is it correct to walk in the center? To me this seems scary. Thanks!
