I tried some of these big firms for legal representation and other stuff quite a ways back and remember that instead of trying to help me out they suggested that what I was trying to so was illegal or that my case was worthless because I was still alive and kicking. This was when I was trying to bring in everyone I could think of to put pressure on libraries of all kinds to get a link to the Florida Victim Services Directory. The Florida Bar had taken the opposite approach and had announced the availability of the Florida Victim Services Directory online. This was in one of their publications.
I had been trying to sue a psychiatrist for malpractice back in mid 2002 and most of the Florida attorneys I contacted wrote that basically I had not suffered enough harm for them to make money on a suit. I did find an Illinois law firm which had a branch in Tampa, Florida that sounded like it would have taken the malpractice case but they seemed to have another agenda than mine.
I do not know that many lawyers now, but the law students at the University of Minnesota, for the most part, seemed like they would have made competent professional attorneys. Guess there are always exceptions.
You wonder how good these fast food like law firms are?
