I'm not thrilled about it, but I wouldn't say that it screws up everything. I like the longer days of summer. I don't think I'd like it getting light at 4:00 am and then dark at 8:00 pm in the middle of summer. Then again, if we didn't turn them back in the winter, we wouldn't see light until about 8:00 am.
My idea would be to push all the clocks ahead one half hour next fall and then leave them there.
A side note. I spent my life running golf courses. Every year on the first day that we'd turn the clocks back in October, several people would miss their tee time. We have a pool in the golf shop to see who would do it.
