Sorry, you had a bad experience. If you stick around, you will see there is a lot more good than the imperfect. From NY myself, and I wouldn't even try to compare NY, to the way TV, is kept up.
I lived almost my whole life in NY and TV is much cleaner, and much more beautiful, but that's just me.
