He grabbed a bottle of red nail polish that was on the table and I checked it, verified that it was indeed tightly closed, and he started chewing on the rubbery top (please..no comments about this being unsanitary...the kid is like a puppy...he already bit into my coffee table and left teeth marks!). Being the wise woman that I am, I picked him up to take him into the kitchen with me. Do you have ANY idea how hard the ceramic floor is and how far a tiny bottle of polish can shatter??? I yelled (of course) for my loving, patient husband who has, over the years, come to expect anything from me. He smiled, through gritted teeth, and between him, my daughter and me we managed (thank God) to clean up the dark red polish, even from the grout. After that, Steve went back into his office and I swear he was looking at our marriage license, hoping to find an expiration date! As for Milo, right now he is sleeping peacefully in his pack and play.
