On the recommendation of our vet (Dr. Kelly Vernon - Buffalo Ridge) we feed our rescued wheaten (who had serious thyroid and yeast issues), Dick Van Patten's Limited Ingredient Lamb and Brown Rice. Turns out that many dogs have allergies to chicken fat - which is in many dog foods and treats. Once on the kibble and wet food - yeast disappeared.
We love Dr. Vernon who really understands allergies in dogs. She's very compassionate and their pricing is very, very reasonable.
We also use Mary at Petco for all our grooming. She does a fabulous job on our Wheaten (which are more difficult to keep looking good)...
