We went to the movies about 25 times last year, everything from Prisoners, Gravity, Dallas Buyers Club, Captain Phillips, etc. My wife's favorite movie was Blue Jasmine and I've always enjoyed Cate Blanchett ever since I first saw her in The Talented Mr. Ripley.

I had picked seeing Blue Jasmine because of the reviews and lately I've liked all the Woody Allen films that he doesn't appear in, such as Match Point and Vicki Christina Barcelona. Also, we always prefer dramas, and not all good dramas can have a happy ending or a moral to the story. It was definitely one of my favorites, I thought overall last year was pretty good year for films.
