as has been noted in any form of public news in recent years most of the top auto makers from around the world have the same recall issues.
For me it is very simple. Most people do not stop flying any particular airline because of a plane crash or crashes....or don't stop flying any specific aircraft for similar reasons.
Certainly one is entitled to do so and I am sure some do, however, a very small incidence. Same for auto makers. The isolated incidences, although some few very serious (like plane crashes) make front page headlines....which we all know have to be taken with a grain of salt depending on whose and which axe is being ground that day.
The big three (and others) have all had their turn in the barrel.
The millions of cars coming off USA assembly lines, TODAY, are among the safest, best built, most economic cars in the world from the lowest priced model to the luxmobiles.
To try and determine which is better or worse based on recalls is like trying to measure airlines by number of crashes....serious....noteworthy....but, thank GOD, isolated incidences.
In my humble opinion.
