Bringing them to restaurants, putting them in strollers, caring them around like Paris Hilton does her little dog. I understand that people love their pets but they are just that.....pets.

Good observation Happinow,
Apparently just what dog/pet friendly means is not very well understood and is consistently pushed beyond what is reasonable to the average person.
Silly things that don't hurt anyone don't bother me but letting them lapp on the water fountains meant specifically for people is too much.
Dogs are animals no matter what....and these animals do what all animals do sooner or later. Animals should never come before humans no matter what, regardless.
Do whatever you want in your home, smelly dogs on beds and furniture no problem, dog waste on floors etc. no problem. But knowing dogs are being allowed to lapp the water fountains just isn't right no matter how you slice it.
I've had a house dog before for many years so I know about dogs very well and know what they do and also how attached you can become to them, but's let's be sensible about it and realize other people don't always have the same feelings.
