No problem.....I understand. If it is any help, this is very forgiving. After you roll on the iron core black primer, you just start sponging the different colors on one at a time. There is no wrong way. Dependent on the ratio of the different colors, the sponging technique, etc you can get different looks. If you hate it, you can just re-roll the black on it and start over. Only after you are pleased with the look, then you roll on the hard, glossy sealer.
Because granite is natural, there is no "wrong look" granite does not look uniform at all, so you cannot make a mistake. Remember, success favors the bold......lol.
I would think that brand new countertops would be less money then what you were quoted from those painter folks....good luck in whatever you decide. Have a wonderful weekend!
