Tons of mercury from millions of light bulbs
and another contaminated land fill,
that leaches to God know where else.
Cfl bulbs aren't the only bulbs containing mercury. Fluorescent tubes used in almost all retail stores, offices and schools contain mercury. The recycling costs exceed the original cost of the bulbs.
Just another reason to switch to LEDs.
