Do people really think before they ask a question.
The gates are probably up because there is a mechanical problem..
I disagree. At some of the gates, the gate attendant leaves them open because they do not get up and greet people. In some instances the visitor gate is left open but the resident has to stop and use their card. No mechanical problem.
