There are many retirement communities that do not allow pets at all. Others allow one pet under 25 lbs. It is rare to find a community that allows two dogs, or even one large dog. We have two dogs, one weighs 70 lbs. We simply couldn't find another retirement community that would allow two dogs per household with no size restrictions. And I bet we're not the only people that chose The Villages because they allow multiple pets.
We purchased in The Villages because of their liberal pet policy, and because it is a golf-cart community. And it turns out we hit the jackpot! There couldn't be a finer retirement community anywhere in North America.
As Gerryann said, any facility that allows dogs is normally referred to as "pet friendly". Google "pet friendly motels" or "pet friendly beaches" ... it's a commonly used term, not one made up specially for The Villages.
