The short answer is who ever in your foursome is "ready" hits the golf ball. Just doing this one thing will speed up the game.
An example is the person keeping score might very well have honors but is writing down the score when arriving to the next tee box----in ready golf you would go ahead and hit first while he/she is still writing down the scores.
You pickup after triple bogey and move on to the next hole.
You park the golf cart in the correct area when near the green.
The first in your foursome to hole out retrieves the pin and is ready to put it back in as soon as the last person in your group holes out and everyone immediately moves on to the next hole.
Size up what club you want to use and if in doubt, take two or three clubs.
If you think your ball may be lost----hit a provisional ball.
This is a sketch of ready golf. Of course in Tournment play, USGA rules apply and it's a different story.
