I have kind of an old gunfighter thing about wanted my back at the wall. Anyway, as the movie progressed, I thought it was very weird that this-or-that scene had smoke in it. The movie, after all was in 3-D. But, then I figured that it must be that man scooting down a few seats just ahead of me and smoking. I took a big wiff to see if this were also smoking Mary Jane. After all, this was Spider-Man, but with no Mary Jane in scent or sight. That was the old Spider-Man.

Anyway, throughout the movie, I would see the smoke rising every 20 minutes or so and this was about a 2.5 hour movie.

I thought about going to the manager with a complaint about smoking. There were maybe 10 people in total at this showing of Spider-Man and all of these but me were in front of the smoker and quite a distance way.

The man smoking was Oriental in appearance with a large purse as well. I was not sure it even was a man until I saw him waiting in the men's room as I went out of the Old Mill Playhouse. The very large purse kind of gave me pause about determining this person's gender. His appearance was also quite well kept and a bit effeminate.

I am not very confrontational most of the time and thought again maybe I should have complained. What happens with these kinds of things here in the Villages? Would the cops come and take statements because someone was violating the laws against smoking in movie theaters?

The movie was OK. If you do see it, there is an ad for an X-Men movie just a little bit in the Credits.

No extra scene after the Credits however which was a bit of a let down.
The manager could have answered your question or are you just looking for opinions?
