Wow! Lots of attitude.

I look at the high season as normal because, like other communities, the houses are all occupied, whether with owners or renters. Amenities are in high demand; golf course times are in short supply (shorter days with more players); restaurants have waiting lines. Truth is there are workarounds for all these. Go or sign up early for classes; be less choosy about course and time or accept that you may not play as many times per week as desired; eat at home more or earlier at restaurants.

I consider the rest of the year as not normal. Many of my friends are not here. The overall energy in the community is lower. Clubs don't meet over the summer either because of the heat or fewer members present. Don't get me wrong, though. I do enjoy being able to decide to play golf and get a time on a desired course same day. I do enjoy quicker access to restaurants.

We came here from San Diego where we had the visitors in the winter from colder climes, then the ones in the summer from Arizona escaping the heat. So it was year 'round. I like it here!
