A Black Dog's Blue Water Sabbatical
It's the story of a dog and a sinking catamaran. Here's a little bit of it:
"When it was sinking, the crew said she stood on the roof of Palenque. Shortly afterwards she made a leap into the life raft. She rested her head forlornly on the life raft’s gunnel watching Palenque sink. A couple hours later she was hoisted by rope in a bag 60 feet up over the gunnel railing of the freighter. When she got out of the bag, they said she stood panting, ears perked, looking around expectantly as if she were inquiring: “cool, what’s next?!” Soon she was retrieving sticks on the freighter’s deck and chowing down on pork loin in the galley."
