The Villages does incorporate a little bit of Lady Lake in the Rio Grande area. The Villages is not any part of Leesburg. Other little towns nearby are Fruitland Park, Wildwood, and Oxford and The Villages does go into them a little.

Personally, I would suggest staying toward the interior parts of The Villages.

In addition to what buggyone shared...the neighborhoods of the historic side of the villages are pretty much all in the town of Lady Lake; as are the neighborhoods of Mira Mesa, La Reynalda, Valle Verde and La Zamora [inside the El Cortez gate]; and there are lovely homes in each of those areas. Best of all - they are close to the main post office that serves the villages and there is a brick/mortat sub-station a golf cart ride away from the homes there!
